YouTube is a very useful traffic and link building tool. We know how to sucessfully promote a new youtube release using keyword tags and blogging techniques, but the video has to be really really good to go viral. Usually only 1 in 10 pieces (less or more depending) wil go viral. But when they do, the social media and video networks have the ability to show some massive traffic gains in a very short period of time.

If you dont have a strong yes to at least one of those, I would say it does not have the potential to really go viral. You should definitely use YouTube, thinking in an outrageous way. Theres alot of content there, so a video really needs to stand out in some way to get popular.
